Welcome to the 2nd half of Season 7
Game # 1 – Predators Yellow vs. Avs Maroon
The 2nd half of the season gets underway with 3-4 Yellow taking on 0-7 Maroon. The mid season trades saw Maroon add Nick and Dominic Lunelli, Josh Banner and Kyle Walton to their lineup in an attempt to shake things up and get the 2nd half of the season underway with their first W of the season. Yellow came through the mid season trades unchanged and will be counting on their core of seasoned players including Marty Brennan, Cory Lambing and Devin McMaster to get back to their early season form when they won their first 3 games of the season before dropping their last 4. Yellows Joel Bombardier is only 1 goal away from his 100th career regular season goal and Maroons Dustin Lesperance is only 1 goal away from his 125th regular season goal.
Game # 2 – Wings Red vs. Flyers Orange
3-3-1 Red takes on 6-0-1 Orange. Red is coming off a tough 1 goal loss last week to Navy while Orange is coming off an easy victory over Green by trouncing them by a margin of 15 goals. Orange is happy to welcome veteran Trevor Lebert to the team who was acquired during mid season trades. Red will be looking to get back into the W column by counting on their leading goal scorer Ross MacDonald and leading assist scorer Dennis Quesnel to get them back to their winning ways. Orange will look to stay out of the regulation loss column by adding Thomas Davies and Michael Ruisi to their list of double digit scorers this season. Red’s Dennis Quesnel is only 1 goal away from his 100th career regular season goal and only 3 assists away from his 100th career regular season assist. Oranges rookie goalie Jordan Scott is looking for his 4th career victory between the pipes to even his career record at 4-4.
Game # 3 – Jets Blue vs. Wild Green
7-0 Jets Blue takes on 2-5 Wild Green. While it would seem that Jets Blue should remain undefeated after this contest, they need to make sure they do not underestimate the drive and determination of Wild Green. The mid season addition of WFHL premier players Trevor Conlon and Pierre Quesnel is sure to change the dynamics of Wild Green and make them a true threat to any team they play in the 2nd half of the season. In addition to counting on the newly acquired players, Green will also be looking to Mike Meloche to give the team solid goaltending in the 2nd half of the season. Jets Blue’s Jacques Quesnel is only 1 point away from his 200th career regular season point and Green’s Pierre Quesnel is only 2 goals away from his 250th career regular season goal. Jets Blue's goalie Willie Quesnel is one win away from 50th of his career.
Game # 4 – Leafs Blue vs. Sabres Navy
This weeks nightcap features 2-4-1 Leafs Blue vs. 5-2 Navy. Leafs Blue will be looking to put together their first 2 game winning streak of the season after a close 1 goal victory last week against Yellow. At the same time Navy will be looking to extend their winning streak to 5 games after winning a close game last week against Red in which Navy scored the final 3 goals of the game to squeak out a 1 goal victory over Red. Navy welcomes Jeremy Oliver and Gianfranco Spagnuolo who were acquired at the mid season trade deadline. Leafs Blue’s 2nd year player Greg Goodfellow is only 1 point away from his 85th career regular season point. Sabres Navy’s Kyle Renaud is 1 assist away from his 245th career regular season assist and 5 goals shy of 400.

Green only has 1 player on their roster in double digits for points so far this season and are hoping to welcome Cody Breault, Nick Lunelli, Andrew Redmond and Kris Langlois to the double digit point club this week. Orange is coming off a convincing victory against Maroon last week in which Willie Pitre, Regis Edmond and Pierre Quesnel all had 6 points in that contest. By: Mike Meloche
After 6 weeks, all 4 teams have identical records of 3-3.
Game # 1 – Kings Purple vs. Bruins Gold
Week 7 gets underway with 3-3 Purple taking on 3-3 Gold. Purple is currently the hottest team on Monday night. After dropping their first 3 games, they have come back strong winning their last 3. Part of Purple’s recent success can be attributed to Joey Conlon, who currently leads the Monday league with a 6.20 average points per game total and Sheldyn Valley who is 2nd among Monday night rookies with 16 points so far this season. Gold which is currently in 1st place due to having the best +- rating of +7 on the season is the only Monday night team to not have put together a winning streak this season. They have flipped flopped each week from winning to losing to end up 3-3 so far on the season. Gold’s success this season is in part from rookie goaltender Marco Pelle who has posted the best GAA and SV% of all Monday goalies and Dennis Quesnel who is having his best average goals per game of his career. Purple’s Tom Cabanaw is only 1 point away from his 150th career regular season point and Gold’s Jacques Quesnel is only 1 point away from his 200th career regular season point.
Game # 2 – Canucks Blue vs. Penguins Black
3-3 Blue takes on 3-3 Black. Blue is anxious to get back to their winning ways after dropping their last 2 decisions. Blue will be glad to have star Trevor Conlon, who is currently 4th in all time WFHL scoring, back in the lineup this week as they face the always tough Black. Blue’s offensive attack also features rookie Wesley Wright who is currently 3rd amongst Monday rookies in scoring with 14 points. The defensive dynamic duo of Matt Gibson and Patrick Daragon has definitely stymied a few opposing offensive players making a break to the Blue net. Black was able to get back into the W column after pulling out the victory against Gold last week. Black will be counting not only on their scoring leaders Will Quesnel and Jeremy Berthiaume who account for an average of 6 goals per game but also rookie Brenna Edgar who has 3 assists in her first 4 WFHL games. Blue’s Josh Green is only 3 goals away from his 150th career regular season goal and Black’s rookie Chris Bedard is only 3 points away from his 25th career regular season point.
Good Luck to all players this week.

Game # 1 – Penguins Black vs Canucks Blue
Week 4 kicks off with 2-1 Black taking on 2-1 Blue. Blue will be looking to extend their current 2 game winning streak to 3 this week and at the same time even the season series with Black at 1 win apiece. Blue welcomes Cameron Pere to the team as he finalized his rookie contract and will make his WFHL debut this week. Team Blue will be looking to veterans Pat Daragon and Josh Green to lead their team and help keep the winning streak alive. Black will be looking to get back to their winning ways after getting off to a 2-0 start on the season and dropping last weeks decision to Gold. Black welcomes veteran D man Rob Redmond who was acquired last week to help shore up their defense. Blue’s Trevor Lebert is only 1 goal away from his 30th career regular season goal and 1 point away from his 115th career regular season point. Black’s Jeremy Berthiaume will be playing in his 65th regular season game.
Game # 2 – Bruins Gold vs. Kings Purple
2-1 Gold takes on 0-3 Purple in Monday’s 2nd game. Gold is coming off a convincing victory last week handing Black their first loss of the season while Purple fell last week to Blue who are currently the hottest Monday team riding a 2 game winning streak. Gold welcomes Trevor Bridgen who was dealt to the team this week. Gold features the most senior Quesnel of the family with Reg coming out of retirement this season. Reg continues to contribute to his teams’ success picking up right where he left off when he retired after Season 3 averaging a solid 3 points per game this season. Purple signed WFHL veteran scorer Ross MacDonald to a contract this week and along with rookie goaltender Josh Banner and the rest of Purple, will be fighting hard to get their first win of the season. Gold’s Shannon Philpott is only 1 goal away from her 50th career regular season goal and Purple’s Tom Cabanaw is only 1 assist away from his 100th career regular season assist.
Good Luck to all players this week.
